Welcome on behalf of the Gosford church of Christ. We are so pleased that you have come in contact with us, and we look forward to getting to know you further. Please let us introduce ourselves.

The Gosford church of Christ is a growing group of Christians who started meeting on the Central Coast in 1972. The “Church of Christ” is not a denomination, but a Biblical description of the congregation that meets together on the Central Coast. In other words the church is not a man-made organisation. It is an assembly of people who belong to Christ. We are not interested in man-made creeds, but instead we follow the Biblical pattern of Christianity described in the New Testament. We do not perceive of ourselves as being a denomination – nor as Catholic, Protestant, Pentecostal, or Jewish – but simply members of the church which Jesus established and for which He died.

The congregation is totally autonomous and is not connected or bound by any governing councils, committees, conferences, diocese, parishes or other earthly headquarters.

At the Gosford church of Christ you will meet honest people, who seek honest answers to the important questions in life. Questions like: What happens to me when I die? Why am I here? Isn’t there more to life than this? Can you find true happiness?

We are honest enough to recognise our own personal shortcomings and weaknesses – and this is all the more reason for wanting to carefully follow the all-sufficient and perfect plan God has for salvation.

The congregation is a diverse group of people, both young and old, who enjoy life in Christ. There are programs and activities for children, young adults, adults and the elderly. There is a lot of fun had, spiritual and uplifting worship, loyal friendships, help for the less fortunate, opportunities to serve, people devoted to prayer and God reliance and a commitment to Bible study.

The congregation employs a talented ministry team devoted to Biblical teaching, sharing the good news of Jesus, helping our community and promoting love and unity.

We encourage you to seek the truth to life’s deep questions. We would be pleased if you asked questions of us about anything which may puzzle you or that you may be interested in. We would also appreciate any comments you may wish to express.
